With ADHD, I've never been able to journal more than a month (inconsistently)... I've got so MANY half finished journals that I just use them as sketchbooks instead. Until the Hero Journals! The storyline of Istoria Magic Academy is comforting, encouraging & charming with applications that you can work through in your own adventure. If you're on the fence, just try it. I'm loving it.

I bought the Mystic Blue for my first time journaling and absolutely loved the experience, I bought the Potions Purple on for my next adventure. Wow! Just wow! This journal exceeded my expectations and im so excited to start my journey with it! I have NEVER in my life have stuck with a journal and I feel like for the first time I will actually use it every day! I got this journal because im going back to school and im sooo nervous about it. I havent been back to school in over 10 years! This journal already started asking the questions that I knew I needed to answer in order to really hold myself accountable and challenge my fears. Very excited and so happy to have this as my companion.
Accept the call! No matter what your Quest may be—big or small—don’t delay it! Do yourself a favor and accept the call to adventure. If you are familiar with flexible goal setting, this thing will be your best friend. I’m not an every day kind of planner person, and this also works to do a page or two every week or as needed, like I do. So flexible and so worth it. Start your Quest! Amazing quality, amazing spread layout—a quality piece.
Okay, negatives first: PLEASE remove the Harry Potter quotes! JK Rowling is a horrible transphobe and nothing she writes is "inspirational". I also wish there were some structured planning pages at the start of each chapter; having a quest is great but I need a Treasure Map :-) But overall I love it! Good structure, with the gratitude/allies/threats per day and open space for lists or sketches. The artwork is fun, and most of the quotes are well chosen.
Really loving this journal, it’s fun and helping take back time for myself.

I am still in the first week of my adventure but I am so blown away! It’s so much more then I expected it to be:) I have been fallowing this project for quite a bit now and it felt like the right time. I finally bought my first journal and I’m so glad I did! This could not have come to me at a better time and I’m so excited for my adventure!

This is my second journal and I wanted to try and be one since my first one is didn't have a clear "north star" or my why to keep going. This time i have a clearer goal for my health that I tried doing on my own, but struggling to keep track and following through. I look forward to using it to get the best results for my three month journey with Yew like I did with the hero's journey.
Love how good of quality this journal is. I've had it for about a week now and I love the themes you can choose from and how it's a guided journal. My ADHD doesn't allow me to just start a journal from a blank page. So this is perfect! I will definitely continue to buy more.

I’ve been using the journals for a few years and I love them so much.
I've really enjoyed journaling with The Hero's Journal. The prompts are helpful and thoughtful. I like the undated pages because I won't have wasted a page if I don't write one day. I've gotten into my routine and rarely miss a day. Tracking my goals is much easier than with my previous blank journal. To top it off, the art is very pleasing. It is so much fun following Yew's journey visually, and it begs to be colored on! I'm past halfway through my first journal and have recently purchased my second, The Magic Academy.
I haven’t gotten far in my quest and found looking too far ahead in the journal daunting. That being said I have enjoyed the story so far and find just coloring the first few pages relaxing and enjoy the few prompts given so far. Gives me time to reflect on how I was this journey to progress! The drawings are adorable and pages thick enough for me to color with Bic intensity markers with no bleed through.
I love these journals. I love that they're a giant coloring book, planner, and goal oriented all in one! The purple is so gorgeous. I feel like nothing was spared in terms of quality, anywhere, while the price is still very affordable. I love this and I'm excited to work on this one.
I’ve really enjoyed the journal so far. This is one of those things I kept putting off buying because “I don’t need this journal, it’s just another toy for me” so I waited for TWO YEARS until I finally realized that I’m an adult and can buy whatever I want!! Let me tell you.. it’s not just a journal, it really holds you accountable to your own self. This has been a life changing experience for me and a great way to control my life without letting it waste away. It has become a sort of ritual in the mornings for me now, totally sets the mood for the whole day. The page attached is my favorite thing to look forward to every week btw :)
I made a second purchase of another journal in Cauldron Grey, and got a fountain pen as a free gift. I attempted getting in touch with customer service, to see if they have any brand recommendations as far as ink or to see if its for display only. However, I haven't heard anything yet. I love my Potion Purple journal, and still have a bit left to go until I use volume 2 (Cauldron Grey).

I've only had it a few days, but I am enjoying this so far! Something about framing my days like they're magical really makes the mundane more beautiful.
Works well with markers but not "marker proof" not that it claimed it was. Definitely a nice thicker sheet than other journals. Haven't used the planner yet. Too busy coloring.

I love this journal! I got it a day or so ago and was just able to dive into it. The quality is amazing! I absolutely adore the cover color, such a rich purple! Shipping was super fast. The pages are nice and thick with no bleed though. The illustrations are adorable. I have wanted one of these since they first came out and I finally got one!
The quality of the book binding, the beautiful box and clear instructions...the delightful illustrations...more than I ever expected!

As someone with ADHD I love how it is both really structered, but in a loose formate (I know it's a contradiction but it makes sense)
As an artist this is a really exciting journal to open. I love fantasy and I'm so excited to start a new adventure with this book. Life has been hard lately and getting the little tips and emails from the site has brought some joy into my life. The journal has already brought joy and determination too! I can't wait to color the pages and learn more of the story. Thank you for making this for us magicians who just need a little extra magic in their lives.
So far I am really enjoying it and have felt a bit less scattered. A small surprise is I have enjoyed noticing how the illustrations change each day
I love my Hero’s Journal so much! Turning my goal into a fantasy quest and the layout and milestones in the journal motivate me to work on building positive habits every day. The coloring pages are cute and calming. I appreciate that it’s something I can put down and get back to whenever. I’m someone who’s struggled to keep a consistent journal, but the size of the journaling space removes the pressure and makes it easier to write a little each day.
Journal#3 now and will keep buying more.

I can sum up the Hero’s Journal in one phrase: pure joy! Every time I open my journal I smile! I feel excited to use it everyday. You know what though? Life gets busy and hard and I have days where I don’t open it. But guess what?! No guilt! No daunting white pages or intimidating to do lists to fill out, no blank pages with dates staring you down…Just fun! This journal changes how I view self care. Some days I write a lot. Other days I just color. Your journey is yours! I dare you to do!
I am in love with this journal! I find it much more engaging than the more traditional journals I have used in the past.
Today I officially began my 1st Hero Journal Quest! Over the past few days I have taken the advice provided by the Mentor and pondered on my strengths, opportunities for improvement, & pits falls I may run into during my adventure. I began the day by filling out the Habit tracker (decorated with adorable art) that accompanied my journal, to aid me in my progress. Then it was finally time to crack open the piercing Potions Purple Hero’s Journal & embark on my adventure to the Istoria Magic Academy! The prologue pages are filled with clear, inspiring, & insightful words of guidance. Enriched by art work that will motivate & encourage me as I adventure forward. I will improve the story about my journey to become an Artist with a unique voice & the ability to tell stories through my artwork. A huge thanks to Nick, Kyle, & the rest of the Hero’s Journal team!
